Tung Chung Stream (eastern tributary)

Tung Chung River is located at the western part of the Tung Chung New Town. It originates from the area near Tung Chung Au and flows northward into Tung Chung Bay. It is also an Ecologically Important Stream due to its high ecological value. To conserve the river habitat during the development of the new town extension, it is proposed that the channelized section of Tung Chung River together with the immediate upstream section up to Shek Mun Kap Road will be revitalised into a river park to promote water-friendly culture.
