Progress:
For Lantau Island, the upgrading works at Mui Wo sewage treatment
plant were completed in May 2000 and the upgrading works at
Siu Ho Wan sewage treatment plant will commence in Mid 2001.
The sewerage works for Ngong Ping are at the EIA study and investigation/design
stage. The construction works will commence in end 2003. The
upgrading works at Cheung Chau sewage treatment plant commenced
in Sep 2000. The sewerage works for Peng Chau and Lamma Island
will commence in end 2002 and in mid 2003 respectively.
