Sewage Services Charges Concession
The Government published the Gazettes that give effect to the extension of the existing reduction of the Sewage Charge and Trade Effluent Surcharge for non-domestic accounts.
1) Sewage Charge (SC)
According to L.N. (Legal Notice) 223 of 2022, 75% of the sewage charge (SC) for water consumption for several non-domestic purposes from 1 December 2019 to 31 July 2023 would be waived, subject to a monthly cap of $12,500 for each meter covered by a water bill. SC of billing periods that do not entirely fall within the concession period will be collected proportionally.
2) Trade Effluent Surcharge (TES)
According to L.N. (Legal Notice) 81 of 2022, the concession of trade effluent surcharge will be effective from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2023.
