Prof. Dennis Y.C. Leung is currently Professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering, HKU. He received his B.Sc. (Eng.) in 1982 and Ph.D. in 1988, both from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.  He joined HKU in 1993 specializing in air pollution, renewable energy and energy conservation. He has published more than 350 articles including 200 peer reviewed SCI journal papers. He is one of the top 1% highly cited scientists in the world in energy area from 2010-2012.  On professional side, Prof. Leung serves as an editorial board member of several journals and served for many government and non-government committees over the past 20 years.  In 2008, Prof. Leung received the Outstanding Earth Champion Hong Kong award in recognizing his contributions in protecting the environment.
