Project Background
To complement the Energizing Kowloon East Initiative in transforming Kowloon East into another Core Business District, the Drainage Services Department implemented the "Revitalization of Tsui Ping River" project in Jul 2020, transforming the existing 1-km long nullah spanning along Tsui Ping Road, King Yip Lane and King Yip Street all the way to Victoria Harbour into a vibrant Tsui Ping River through environmental, ecological and landscaping upgrades. Apart from enhancing the flood-carrying capacity of the river, the project also beautified the adjacent pedestrian walkways and enhanced the connectivity of the pedestrian network. The river facilities were completed and fully opened to the public for use in 2024.
