Officiating in the planting event, the Assistant Director/Projects and Development of DSD, Mr Michael FONG delivered the welcoming speech and said that, in addition to upgrade the drainage capacity of KTR under the KTR improvement project, elements of aesthetic, greening, landscaping and ecology will be included, with a view to revitalising the nullah into a pleasant and green river corridor in an urban area.  Furthermore, in order to enhance the communion and accessibility between the community and KTR, DSD would carry out beautification and improvement works at Morse Park (Park No.1), which was in close proximity to KTR. 

He expressed gratitude to the stakeholders for their forbearance and support during the construction, and appreciated the consultants, contractors and DSD colleagues for their coordination and hard work, which contributed to the smooth progress of the project.

Other officiating guests of the event included the Chairman of Wong Tai Sin District Council, Mr LI Tak-hong and the Principal of S.K.H. Kei Tak Primary School, Ms LAW Shui-lan.
