DBC filmed Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme

The hosts of the Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited (DBC) radio programme “Morning Octopus” visited and filmed the Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme (HVUSSS) on 19 August 2016.

The Chief Engineer of Drainage Projects, Mr KAN Hon-shing, introduced the background, special design, innovative and environmental features of the project, and the close working relationship with different stakeholders.  The Senior Engineer, Ms Ellen CHENG Nga-see, guided a tour to Phase 1 of the underground stormwater storage tank and explained the design of the “Movable Crest Weir” system.
