DSD awarded Contract No. DE/2016/05 “Pilot Tests for Sludge Dewatering at Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works”

The Drainage Services Department signed a $34 million contract with the Contractor ATAL Engineering Limited on 8 September 2016 for carrying out pilot tests for  sludge dewatering at Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works .

The contract comprises the provision and installation, commissioning and post-commissioning testing of a demonstration-scale setup of a hydraulic filter press system for sludge dewatering, and the establishment of a related on-site laboratory.  The contract is scheduled for completion in September 2019.
