DSD awarded Contract no. DC/2009/20 “Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A – Demolition of Chemically Enhanced Primary Treatment Tanks and Associated Facilities at Cyberport Sewage Treatment Works”

The Drainage Services Department signed a contract of about $11.5 million with Build King (Zens) Engineering Limited on 29 August 2016. The scope of works comprises demolishing the chemically enhanced primary treatment tanks and associated facilities at Cyberport Sewage Treatment Works. Subsequent to the full commissioning of Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A in December 2015 and the completion of upgrading works at Cyberport Sewage Treatment Works last month, this contract will demolish the remaining abandoned sewage treatment facilities in the Sewage Treatment Works. The 10-month contract will commence on 31 August 2016.
