The Hong Kong Observatory invited DSD to participate in their production of the Episode No. 139 of the weekly video “Cool Met Stuff” and introduced the flood prevention work at Tai O.  Mr. TONG Hang-wai (Scientific Officer, HKO) and Mr. Tommy NG (Engineer, Land Drainage Division, DSD) reviewed with the audience the flooding situation of Tai O in the past, and covered how the impact of storm surge in Tai O is reduced by means of the government’s emergency preparedness, inter-departmental coordination and flood prevention works.
