Cross-departmental Experience Sharing Seminar on “Post-completion Review of Three Drainage Tunnel Projects”

6 April 2016

Following the completion of the Hong Kong West Drainage Tunnel, Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel and Tsuen Wan Drainage Tunnel, the Drainage Services Department (DSD) held on 23 February a cross-departmental experience sharing seminar, at which the engineers responsible for relevant projects led the participants to review the performance of the tunnels, conclude the lessons learnt and identify areas of improvement as a reference for future similar projects.

The seminar attracted a full house of nearly 100 engineers from various works departments including the Water Supplies Department, the Highways Department, the Transport Department, the Civil Engineering and Development Department and DSD with fruitful outcomes.  DSD expects to arrange more such seminars in the future for knowledge and experience sharing among colleagues.
