DSD awarded Contract no. DC/2015/04 “Relocation of Shatin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns – Pilot Tests for Sewage and Sludge Treatment Processes”

The Drainage Services Department signed a $46 million contract with the Contractor Kingsford Environmental (Hong Kong) Limited on 19 October 2015 for carrying out pilot tests for sewage and sludge treatment processes in the Relocation of Shatin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns project.

The contract comprises the design and setting up of pilot test plants at Shatin Sewage Treatment Works for testing the sewage treatment performance, commissioning of the pilot test plants, post commissioning testing and provision of an on-site laboratory.  The contract is scheduled for completion in September 2017.
