TVB’s “Sidewalk Scientist” Program on Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns and Stanley Sewage Treatment Works

TVB’s lifestyle program “Sidewalk Scientist” introduced DSD’s “Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns” project and the existing cavern sewage treatment works in Hong Kong – Stanley Sewage Treatment Works on 29 November 2014.

The program covered the innovative ideas of the relocation project, as well as the features and sewage treatment process of the Stanley Sewage Treatment Works inside caverns.  Also, through the demonstration of the mini-deodorizer and vibrograph, the effective mitigation and monitoring measures for the public’s concerns on the relocation project, such as odour and blasting vibration issues, were introduced in a relaxing and lively manner.
