DSD 25th Anniversary Activity - Guided Tours in Community

To commemorate DSD 25th anniversary, we organized guided tours in the community between July and Oct 2014 with a view to enriching the public’s knowledge in DSD’s work and our facilities in various districts. By inviting our colleagues and their family together with our working partners to join, the event could not only strengthen the connection with our working partners, but also enable the family members to understand our colleagues’ work in DSD, thus enhancing our staff’s sense of belonging.
The guided tours covered the following 6 representative DSD facilities/projects:
1) Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Kai Tak River;
2) Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme;
3) Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A;
4) Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel;
5) Stanley Sewage Treatment Works; and
6) San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station and Yuen Long Bypass Floodway.
A total of 17 guided tours were arranged and about 300 participants were received.
