DSD 30th Anniversary Tea Gathering with Academia 2019

“DSD 30th Anniversary Tea Gathering with Academia 2019” was held at Kai Tak Desilting Compound No.1 with a tour to Upper Kai Tak River on 12 April 2019. About 60 academics and professionals from local universities, research institutes and East Development Office (EDO) of Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) participated in the event.
 

The four Assistant Directors of DSD led the academics for a tour to the Upper Kai Tak River and Kai Tak Desilting Compound No.1. The Director of Drainage Services, Mr Kelvin LO Kwok Wah, introduced to the academics at the opening remarks the current and future directions of DSD’s research & development items.  The Project Manager of EDO of CEDD, Mr Michael LEUNG Chung Lap also shared with the academics  the collaboration between DSD and CEDD and the project background of Kai Tak River and Kai Tak Desilting Compound. This event enabled DSD, CEDD and the academics to gain an insight of the work of each other and paved the way for future collaborations.
