DSD’s Construction Sites Safety and Housekeeping Award Scheme (2018) Award Presentation Ceremony - Let’s share the success in sites safety, cleanliness and tidiness

| The Award Presentation Ceremony of DSD’s Construction Sites Safety and Housekeeping Award Scheme (2018) was successfully held on 21 March at the Leighton Hill Community Hall to commend Contractors and Site Supervisory Teams having outstanding performance in sites safety, cleanliness and tidiness. There are 32 contract teams participating in the Scheme (2018). Amongst them 11 contract teams have won either “The Best Construction Sites Safety and Housekeeping Award” or the “Meritorious Award”, which were presented by the Director of Drainage Services, Mr LO Kwok-wah, and the Deputy Director of Drainages Services, Mr MAK Ka-wai, respectively. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr LO remarked that the accident rate, work efficiency, employees’ sense of belonging and the public image of a construction site are largely hinged upon good site safety management and a clean and tidy working environment. He also encouraged the contract teams to continuously enhance site safety, alleviate the influences of works on neighbourhoods and shouldered the responsibilities of providing quality services and building better environments. This year, the Grand Award goes to the Contractor and Site Supervisory Team of Contract No. DC/2013/10 - “Design, Build and Operate San Wai Sewage Treatment Works - Phase 1”, Messrs. ATAL - Degremont - China Harbour Joint Venture and the AECOM Asia Company Limited. We once again congratulate each winning team and thank them for their contribution in upkeeping the cleanliness and tidiness of DSD’s sites. We also look forward to seeing their enthusiatic participation in the Scheme.
