DSD awarded Contract No. DC/2018/08 “Inter-reservoirs Transfer Scheme – Water Tunnel between Kowloon Byewash Reservoir and Lower Shing Mun Reservoir”

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a works contract of about $763 million contract with Bouygues Travaux Publics on 19 February 2019. The works include construction of a water tunnel of about 2.8 kilometres with 3 metres diameter from the Kowloon Byewash Reservoir to the Lower Shing Mun Reservoir and the associated intake and outfall structures at both ends of the tunnel. This 38-month works contract commences on 27 February 2019.
