The Drainage Services Department has launched the “Nam Sang Wai River Education Trail” (The Trail) today, which enables the public to take self-guided tour along Nam Sang Wai River.

The Trail is about 5.5km long.  The starting point is located at Castle Peak Road in Yuen Long.  The Trail goes around Nam Sang Wai via the Yuen Long Bypass Floodway, Kam Tin River and Shan Pui River.  10 exhibition panels are erected along the Trail to provide information on river training works and the ecological aspects of the rivers, as well as to introduce some natural environment and animals along the Trail.  Through launching the Trail, we would like to enhance the public’s knowledge on the river training works and to increase the awareness of river conservation.  It will take about 2 hours to complete the Trail.
