To celebrate DSD’s 25th anniversary, DSD organized a planting activity “Join Hands to Green the Roof” at the Jordan Valley Flow Interception Station on 14 June 2014.

It was our honour to have more than 100 participants from District Councils, Green Group, Professional Institutions, Government departments, working partners (including consultants and contractors), DSD colleagues and family members, etc. joining this celebrating event.  The planting activity not only promoted DSD's efforts towards environmental protection, greening and sustainable development but also strengthened the team building spirit with our working partners and colleagues.

The event began with a welcome speech by the Director of Drainage Services, Mr. Daniel CHUNG Kum-wah, followed by the planting of shrubs by all the participants at the green roof to build a green roof with a special pattern that features the DSD’s 25th anniversary and “Join Hands to Green the Roof” concluded successfully with cheers and fun.
