The Drainage Services Department signed a $6.5 million consultancy agreement on 19 November 2013 with Atkins China Ltd to undertake the investigation, design and construction supervision for drainage improvement works in Yuen Long, stage 1.

The scope of the consultancy agreement comprises the review, investigations, impact assessments, design, tendering and construction supervision of the drainage improvement works for eight villages in Yuen Long.  The consultancy agreement is expected to take about 87 months to complete.
