Yuen Long District Council Members Visited Yuen Long Barrage and Nullah Improvement Schemes

On 18 December 2025, the Director of Drainage Services, Mr Ringo MOK Wing-cheong invited the District Officer (Yuen Long) cum Chairman of Yuen Long District Council, Mr Gordon WU Tin-yau, and Yuen Long District Council (DC) members to visit the construction site of the "Yuen Long Barrage and Nullah Improvement Schemes". Mr MOK and his team introduced the flood prevention, sewage treatment and drainage rehabilitation works of the DSD within Yuen Long District, and shared the Integrated Flood Management Strategy and the associated "Adaptation, Resilience and Management" measures.

Following the briefing session, Mr MOK toured the DC members around the construction site of the "Yuen Long Barrage and Nullah Improvement Schemes" to understand the project progress and introduced how the various innovative technologies were applied in the project. During the visit, DSD colleagues and Yuen Long DC members exchanged views on the concerns of local residents and discussed ways to address the concerns for continuous improvement of the living environment of Yuen Long District.

The Director of Drainage Services, Mr Ringo MOK Wing-cheong, introduced the DSD's works to the Yuen Long DC members.

DC members visited the All-in-one Safety Experience Room at the construction site, where they explored a series of site safety facilities to learn how to enhance workers' safety awareness on site.
