DSD received multiple awards in the Ombudsman's Awards 2025

The Drainage Services Department received multiple awards at the 28th Ombudsman's Awards Ceremony held on November 18, 2025. These awards included the Award for Public Organisation, the Team Award and two Individual Awards. This year, the DSD marked a significant milestone by receiving the Award for Public Organisation - Information Technology Application and Creativity Award for the first time, in recognition of the department's dedicated efforts in actively developing and applying innovative technologies. Furthermore, the DSD, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Department and the Buildings Department, also received the Team Award for the project "Improving the Water Quality of Victoria Harbour". The two colleagues who received Individual Awards come from the Mainland North division of the Operations and Maintenance Branch, namely Mr Chen Ka-yin, Senior Engineer/ Yuen Long and Mr Lee Ho-yeung, Engineer/ Tuen Mun 5, recognised for their outstanding performance in handling drainage issues within their districts and their professional attitude in responding to public concerns.

The Award for Public Organisation - Information Technology Application and Creativity Award (DSD)
The Ombudsman, Mr Jack CHAN (left) presented the Award for Public Organisation - Information Technology Application and Creativity Award to the Director of Drainage Services, Mr Ringo MOK Wing-cheong, JP (right).
Senior Engineer/ Yuen Long of the Mainland North division, Mr Chen Ka-yin (right), was awarded the Individual Award.
