Tsuen Wan District Council Members Visited Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel

On 10 October 2025, the Director of Drainage Services, Mr Ringo MOK Wing-cheong invited the District Officer (Tsuen Wan) cum Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Council, Mr Billy AU Ka-shing, and Tsuen Wan District Council (DC) members to visit the Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel. Mr MOK and his team firstly introduced the flood prevention, sewage and rehabilitation works of the DSD within Tsuen Wan District, shared the Integrated Flood Management Strategy and the associated "Adaption, Resilience and Management" measures. Both parties engaged in discussions on relevant issues to better understand the needs of the residents and strive to enhance the drainage services in the District, aiming to bring a better living environment for the community.
During the visit, DC members learnt about the operation and application of the desilting robot. We also shared the second runner-up design of the Thematic Manhole Cover Design Competition, which was themed using Tsuen Wan District.
