The Hong Kong Flower Show 2025 – DSD's exhibit “Resilient City”

14 March 2025

The Hong Kong Flower Show 2025 was held between 14 and 23 March 2025 at the Victoria Park. DSD's Flower Exhibition "Resilient City" was awarded the Gold Award for Unique Feature (Landscape Display).

Director of Drainage Services, Mr. Ringo MOK Wing-cheong (sixth left), Chief Engineer of Drainage Projects Division, Mr. Ian WAN Cheuk-keung (fifth left) and DSD's representatives received the Gold Award for Unique Feature (Landscape Display).

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) showcases Hong Kong's resilience against extreme weather with vibrant Cosmos. Drainy guided the participants through the flower exhibition, themed "Resilient City".  After basking in the spring sunlight on the cloud, Drainy fell in rolling hills with raindrops.  It then flew into drainage tunnels, stormwater storage tanks, and drainage channels, reminding the participants the importance of "three-pronged flood prevention strategy" in the blossom ablaze and our city's resilience in facing climate challenges that resembled the robustness and resilience of Cosmos.

"Drainy" guided citizens to explore the "Resilient City", from mountain ranges to stormwater facilities, witnessing Hong Kong's Cosmos-like resilience in combating extreme weather.

DSD's Flower Exhibition showcased the winning designs from the "Thematic Manhole Cover Design Competition" highlighting the unique features of Hong Kong's 18 districts.
