Kwai Tsing District Council Members Visited Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel

On 29 November 2024, the Director of Drainage Services Department, Mr. Ringo MOK Wing-cheong, led the District Officer (Kwai Tsing) cum Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Council, Mr. TANG Huggin, along with Kwai Tsing District Council (DC) members, to visit the Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel. Mr. MOK first introduced the flood prevention, sewage and rehabilitation works of the DSD within Kwai Tsing District and shared the strategies for coping with extreme weather and minimising flood risks in low-lying areas. Afterwards, he exchanged opinions with DC members to optimise drainage facilities.
The Director of Drainage Services Department, Mr. Ringo MOK Wing-cheong, introduced the DSD's works to the Kwai Tsing DC members.
DC members visited the Stilling Basin of the Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel and learnt about its operation.
We shared the list of winning entries of the Thematic Manhole Cover Design Competition with the DC members.
