RTHK TV Programme “Hong Kong United” Interviewed the DSD on Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works and Solar Farm

Senior Electrical & Mechanical Engineers of DSD, Mr Derek SAM Kai-pong and Mr SHUM Ching-nam introduced the operation of the Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works (SHWSTW) and solar farm there during the interview by the Radio Television Hong Kong TV Programme “Hong Kong United” on 31 May 2024.

In the interview, Mr SAM introduced the operation of the sewage treatment process, and the odour control measures implemented at the SHWSTW. Moreover, Mr SAM stated that the public is welcome to visit the SHWSTW through prior reservation to learn more about sewage treatment and the solar farm. On the other hand, Mr SHUM presented the solar farm facilities at the SHWSTW and its operating principles in capturing and utilising renewable energy.
