DSD won the Grand Award for the Hong Kong openBIM/openGIS Awards 2024 (Construction for Infrastructure Category)

In recognition of outstanding achievement in the application of Open Building Information Modeling (openBIM) and Open Geographic Information System (openGIS), the Drainage Services Department's "Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Rock Caverns" project received the Grand Award under the "Construction for Infrastructure Category" in the "Hong Kong openBIM / openGIS Awards 2024" competition on 18 June 2024. The competition was co-organised by the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA) and the Hong Kong, China Chapter of buildingSMART International, to recognise best practices and innovations of openBIM and openGIS applications in Hong Kong.
The award recognised the Drainage Services Department's outstanding achievements in promoting and applying innovative technologies to public works project, as well as its continuous efforts and supports in developing the integrated applications of openBIM and openGIS in Hong Kong.
