The Chairman of Construction Industry Council Participated in the "Life First 2024" Launching Ceremony for the "Yuen Long Effluent Polishing Plant" Project

Mr MOK Wing-cheong, the Director of Drainage Services, led a team and joined the project team of the " Yuen Long Effluent Polishing Plant – Main Works for Stage 1 " (Contract No. DC/2019/10) to participate in the "Life First 2024" activity initiated by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) at the project site. The event was honored by the participation of Ir Prof. Thomas HO On-sing, the Chairman of the CIC. "Life First" aims to bring together the efforts of various stakeholders in the construction industry to enhance industry safety awareness and site safety standards, and earnestly implement the safety concept of "Everyone's Responsibility, Division of Duties, Concerted Efforts, and Safety in Practice".
During the "Life First" event, the Director of Drainage Services, Mr MOK Wing-cheong and the Chairman of the CIC, Ir Prof. Thomas HO On-sing first demonstrated their caring for the workers through dialogue. The project team then showcased the results of using the smart site safety system to enhance the safety of the construction site through advanced technology. In addition, the event also held an award presentation to commend the workers with outstanding safety performance on site.
The Drainage Services Department will continue to support and actively participate in the "Life First" safety activities, hoping that the safety awareness can be conveyed to every job position, establish good safety habits, and work together to enhance the safety culture on site, ensuring that every worker can work in a safe environment and put the concept of "Life First" into practice.
