18 May 2024
On 18 May 2024, the Staff Club, Volunteer Team and Green Champions of the Drainage Services Department (DSD) participated in the Construction Industry Countryside and Shoreline Clean-up Campaign.
On the day of the event, approximately 20 volunteers from DSD including the Director of Drainage Services, Mr Ringo MOK Wing-cheong, the Assistant Director/Electrical & Mechanical, Mr CHAN Yiu-hon and the Assistant Director/Sewage Services, Mr Raymond LEE Wai-man, enthusiastically took part in the clean-up activity at To Tau Wan in Wu Kai Sha Beach, to protect our precious natural environment.
The event was organised by the Construction Industry Sports & Volunteering Programme (CISVP) as one of the major events of the Lo Pan Service Month 2024. The Lo Pan Service Month aims to inherit the spirit of Master Lo Pan by encouraging all industry practitioners to engage in various volunteering services. The shoreline clean-up campaign was a public engagement initiative designed to promote collective efforts to protect the marine environment through coordinated shore clean-up activities across various districts.
