RTHK TV Programme “Hong Kong United” Interviewed the DSD on Precautionary Work for Rainy Season

DSD Engineers, Mr Keith WONG Hoi-wing and Mr Maxwell MAK Shiu-wai, shared the DSD’s precautionary work for rainy season during the interview by the Radio Television Hong Kong TV Programme “Hong Kong United” on 27 April 2023.

In the programme, Mr WONG briefly introduced the purpose and workflow of the DSD's Emergency Control Centre (ECC). He also shared the profound experiences of colleagues on duty at ECC. Mr WONG also explained the major duties of the DSD’s Direct Labour Force (DLF), and introduced their equipment.

Mr MAK provided an overview of how DSD utilised technology, including the “Smart Drainage Monitoring Sensors” system” to monitor and analyse flood risks. Mr MAK stated that the data collected would contribute to the planning of long-term flood prevention measures.
