5 November 2023

InnoCarnival 2023 was successfully held from 28 October to 5 November at Hong Kong Science Park. This year, DSD booth showcased the application of innovative technologies in our works projects, including adoption of Underwater Robot, Augmented Reality (AR) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) techniques in construction of San Shek Wan Sewage Treatment Works, Associated Submarine Outfall and Pui O Sewerage Works, as well as application of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), Two-way Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and adoption of two sewage treatment technologies - Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) in the project of Expansion of Sha Tau Kok Sewage Treatment Works, with the aid of exhibition panels, videos, and exhibits.

In addition to display the Underwater Robot, Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) at the booth, members of the public could also take trial for Augmented Reality (AR) and mini Underwater Robot, enabling the public to experience how engineers utilise the innovative technologies in works projects to enhance construction efficiency and safety.
