Drainage Services Tower Superstructure Commencement Ceremony

The ceremony was held on 2 February 2023 marking the commencement of the superstructure work of the Drainage Services Tower (DS Tower).

The DS Tower construction project is one of the nine replacement building projects to facilitate the release of the Wan Chai Government Offices Compound (WCGOC) site.  The new office building of 21-storey is being constructed on part of the land within the existing Cheung Sha Wan Sewage Pumping Station (CSWSPS) with a view to optimising the use of limited land resources.  It is mainly for reprovisioning the facilities for Drainage Services Department (DSD), including offices for staff, conference rooms, a multi-purpose room, a building information modeling technical centre, storage areas and parking spaces for departmental use, etc.

The construction progress of the DS Tower is satisfactory. It is anticipated the DSD's current head office located at the Revenue Tower in Wan Chai and most of other offices in different locations will be relocated to the DS Tower in end 2025.
