DSD awarded Contract No. DC/2022/01 “Drainage Improvement Works in Tsim Sha Tsui”

The Drainage Services Department signed a works contract of about $734 million with CW-KL JV on 18 August 2022. The works include construction of a stormwater storage scheme comprising an underground storage tank of 18,000m³ and pumping station with 8m³/s at Urban Council Centenary Garden (UCCG); construction of approximate 1 km of stormwater drains of diameters ranging from 600mm to 1800mm at Chatham Road South, Kimberley Road, Observatory Road, Granville Road, Granville Square and Cameron Road; and ancillary works including reinstatement of the UCCG and associated facilities. This 46-month works contract commenced on 19 August 2022.
