Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns – Community Liaison Centre Open Day 2022

Celebrating Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's 25th anniversary, the Drainage Services Department (DSD) will hold the Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns Community Liaison Centre Open Day on 27 and 28 August 2022 (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm for the public to learn more about this largest cavern development project in Hong Kong as well as DSD's services in sewage treatment and stormwater drainage works.
The public can visit the Community Liaison Centre at the Open Day to know more about the drill and blast construction and the project highlights through the display panels and on-site interactive games, and use the immersive CAVE to experience the confined space tunnel construction. In addition, visitors can also enjoy the outdoor rain garden with blue-green element and sustainability. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a photo with the DSD's KOL "Drainy" and the mascot of the project "Dr. Marmot" on the spot.
Activities at the Open Days are free of charge. Free shuttle bus services running between MTR Tai Shui Hang Station Exit A and the Community Liaison Centre will be provided for visitors.
