San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station Open Day 2022

Celebrating Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's 25th anniversary, Drainage Services Department (DSD) will hold the San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station Open Day on 30 and 31 July 2022 (Saturday and Sunday) for the public to learn more about its work on flood prevention and the promotion of Hong Kong’s sustainable development.

The public can join the guided tour specially designed for the Open Day and DSD staff will introduce the Village Flood Protection Scheme implemented by the Department to reduce flooding risk in low-lying villages, as well as the operation of San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station. In addition, the participants can visit Floating Photovoltaic System and Floating Ecological Island set up in San Tin Stomwater Storage Pond to gain a better understanding of the DSD’s continual efforts in combating and mitigating climate change. Participants will also have the opportunity to take a photo with the DSD’s KOL “Drainy” on the spot.

Admission and activities at the Open Days are free of charge. Free shuttle bus services running between MTR Yuen Long Station and San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station will be provided for the registered participants.
