RTHK’s TV programme “Hong Kong Connection” interviewed the Director of Drainage Services

The Director of Drainage Services, Ms Alice PANG was interviewed by RTHK’s TV programme “Hong Kong Connection” on 25 March 2022 to share the details of the newly constructed public sewerage system at San Tin community isolation facility and the challenges encountered during the construction period.

In the interview, Ms PANG explained that the new public sewerage system had to be connected to a sewage treatment facility at 2 kilometers away. In addition, the system was separated by several trunk roads as well as the San Tin Eastern Main Drainage Channel. The works, which including sewers laying and pumping station construction, were also required to be completed in a short period of time. The project was thus extremely challenging.
