Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns was awarded the Autodesk HK BIM Awards 2021

27 October 2021

The DSD's project “Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns” had won the Autodesk Hong Kong BIM Awards 2021.

With an aim to further improving the quality of works, the project adopted Building Information Modelling (BIM) with Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) for construction works. With these innovative technologies, material wastage was minimised and on-site construction duration was shortened, hence resulting in improved safety and reduced construction risks.

The award recognised the project team’s efforts and DSD’s long-term commitment to BIM applications on projects. Carrying on the endeavour in BIM application, DSD will continue to drive the industry’s transformation and help shape the industry towards a more efficient and sustainable era.
