DSD and HKUST’s Research Paper awarded “The HKIE Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2021”

In 2019, DSD commissioned the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) to conduct an R&D study on the photocatalytic disinfection of sewage. HKUST’s research paper, "Potential and Prospect of Photocatalytic Disinfection: Using Sustainable Solar-energy-driven Photocatalyst", which has incorporated findings of the R&D study, has been awarded "The HKIE Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2021". It is the only paper that has been awarded by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers this year. And DSD was honoured to be invited to co-author the paper.
The presentation ceremony was held on 24 September 2021.
