DSD awarded Agreement No. CE 4/2021 (DS) “Improvement on DSD Infrastructures against Climate Change Effect and Adverse Weather Conditions in Mainland North and Outlying Islands - Investigation”

The Drainage Services Department signed a consultancy agreement of about $11.5 million with Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Limited on 25 August 2021 for undertaking the Investigation for the Improvement on DSD Infrastructures against Climate Change Effect and Adverse Weather Conditions in Mainland North and Outlying Islands.

The consultancy agreement adopts New Engineering Contract 4 (NEC4) Professional Service Contract (PSC) Option A. Its scope comprises mainly assessing the impacts of flooding and landside hazards to DSD infrastructures in Mainland North and Outlying Islands due to climate change effect and adverse weather conditions, as well as formulating and design of adaptation and resilience measures against these hazards with an aim to maintain the intended functions of DSD infrastructures. The consultancy agreement will last for about 36 months.
