SDEV's Blog: Interview of DSD Engineer, Mr Ian LEUNG

The Secretary for Development, Mr Michael WONG Wai-lun, invited DSD engineer, Mr Ian LEUNG, to introduce how the DSD’s technologies and training centre “BiM@D” facilitate and improve project design and planning.
During the interview, Mr LEUNG introduced the high-tech devices equipped in BiM@D. He expressed the DSD has proactively promoted and employed BIM technology, Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) system and Point Cloud technology in recent years for the planning, design and implementation of works projects, so as to enhance communication with the stakeholders, and raise the construction quality and efficiency.
