CNN Interviewed DSD on Flood Prevention

On 7 July 2020, CNN interviewed Senior Engineer Mr Richard LEUNG Wah-ming and Engineer Mr Alex LAU Yiu-man on DSD’s flood prevention strategies.
Our Senior Engineer Mr Richard LEUNG Wah-ming explained to the reporter the flood prevention measures adopted by DSD and the challenges encountered. Mr LEUNG also mentioned how DSD exchanges stormwater management experience with neighbouring cities and arouses public awareness on flood prevention work. Engineer Mr Alex LAU Yiu-man later guided the reporter to the Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Tank and Hong Kong West Drainage Tunnel to give an on-site briefing about facilities’ design and operation.
