Ming Pao Interviewed DSD Chief Engineer Mr Edwin LAU Shing-cheong on Flood Prevention Work

On 11 June 2020, Ming Pao interviewed DSD’s Chief Engineer Mr Edwin LAU Shing-cheong about the ways to cope with extreme weather.
During the interview, Mr LAU explained a series of long-term and short-term flood prevention measures adopted by DSD, such as building more underground flood storage, river revitalisation, implementing “just-in-time clearance” and introducing the new remote-controlled desilting robot etc.
