Latest APIs are launched to Appeal for Public Cooperation to Minimise Flood Risk

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) has produced a new set of TV and radio Announcement in the Public Interests (API) to appeal for the public cooperation in ensuring clearance of drainage channels, especially those on private land, to minimise flood risk. The APIs are broadcasting in various TV and radio channels.

Unlike other APIs, DSD took a novel approach by using miniatures props in the shooting, with a vivid and creative storytelling method, reminding the public not to block or alter watercourses and carry out inappropriate land-filling. The APIs in addition call for private landowners to conduct regular drainage inspection and maintenance to join hands in minimising flood risk.
