DSD awarded Contract No. DC/2019/03 “Revitalisation Works of Jordan Valley Nullah and Minor Drainage and Sewerage Works in Urban Area and New Territories”

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed the first New Engineering Contract 4 (NEC4) Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) Option C in the HKSAR Government on 16 March 2020 with Best Build Construction Company Limited. The works contract is about HK$131 million.

After DSD launched the first NEC4 Professional Service Contract (PSC) in Hong Kong in June 2018, DSD continues to pioneer the adoption of NEC. Apart from launching the first NEC4 ECC Option C in HKSAR Government, DSD will progressively adopt more NEC4 ECC in public works contracts.

The works include provision of landscape and ecological enhancement works and construction of a viewing platform at Jordan Valley nullah, and implementation of minor improvement works for the stormwater drainage and sewerage systems at 27 locations in urban areas and New Territories. This 30-month works contract commenced on 2 March 2020.
