The Construction Industry Happy Run and Carnival 2020

The Construction Industry Happy Run and Carnival 2020 was successfully held on 12 January 2020. The DEVB, together with runners from other works departments, also participated in running races. Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr LAM Sai-hung, was invited to be a guest of being a starting commander of the running. The Director of Drainage Services, Mr Kelvin LO Kwok-wah, also participated in the 3K happy run race to show support for the event.

The event comprises 3km, 10km individual and team races. Individual races are divided into men’s and women’s categories, all of which consist of junior, senior and master groups. Over 1,000 registrations was received for joining the Happy Run. This event aimed at promoting engagement of healthy and sporty lifestyle and providing an opportunity for construction practitioners in the industry getting gelled. Apart from joining a variety of races, colleagues and their families and friends spent an enjoyable Sunday at a carnival featuring diverse game booths and workshops.
