The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong interviewed DSD Engineers about the Concept and Implementation of “Sponge City”

On 26 September 2019, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO) interviewed our engineers, Ms LEE Ching-man, Joy and Mr LAU Yiu-man, Alex featuring the “Sponge City”, a modern stormwater management approach and its implementation in Hong Kong.

During the interview, Ms LEE explained that implementing the concept of “Sponge City” in Hong Kong not only improve urban flood resilience but also enhance city greening and living environment. On the other hand, Mr LAU introduced to the reporters the example of realising the “Sponge City” concept – Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Tank.
