Sing Tao Daily and Bastille Post Interviewed DSD on Flood Prevention

On 19 September 2019, Sing Tao Daily and Bastille Post interviewed DSD’s Senior Engineer Mr WOON Leung-him, Senior Engineer Mr LAI Ying-keung, Engineer Mr LAU Yiu-man and Hotline Superintendent Mr LAI Chiu-leung about flood prevention plans in Hong Kong as well as DSD’s work before and after rainy seasons.
During the interview, our Senior Engineer, Mr WOON Leung-him explained flood prevention strategy and future planning of DSD. In the DSD Emergency Control Centre, Hotline Superintendent Mr LAI Chiu-leung presented the emergency response system of DSD and the major tasks of Direct Labour Force. After that, Senior Engineer Mr LAI Ying-keung and Engineer Mr LAU Yiu-man introduced the village flood protection schemes and the design and operation of Hong Kong West Drainage Tunnel respectively.
