DSD organized two job tasting programs jointly with the “Life Buddies” Mentoring Scheme and “Child Development Initiative Alliance” on 5 - 6 July 2018 and 6 -10 August 2018 respectively. 17 Secondary 4 and 5 students from Kwai Chung, Tai Kok Tsui and Chai Wan joined the activities.  The programs aim to assist young people in enhancing their exposure and achieving education and career goals.
 

The event began with a welcome speech by Ir KAN Yim Fai, the Assistant Director of Drainage Services Department.  After a brief introduction of DSD’s work by Ir KAN, the students were assigned to "work" in different divisions under the guidance of different workplace mentors, such as getting acquainted with DSD facilities and assisting drafting work in drawing office.  The students actively involved in their "duties" assigned by the workplace mentors, gained first-hand experience in a real-life work setting and provided positive feedback.
