Open for Application: Yuen Long Bypass Floodway Eco Tour

Arranging by DSD in every November and December, the“Yuen Long Bypass Floodway Eco Tour” aims to let teachers and students understand the environmental conservation features incorporated in DSD’s large-scaled flood prevention projects on site. The Eco Tour includes visits to San Tin Stormwater Pumping Station, Yuen Long Bypass Floodway Low Flow Pumping Station and Inflatable Dam, Engineered Wetland and Nam Sang Wai Kam Tin River Estuary. Visitors may also enjoy the scenery of migratory birds flying southbound at Nam Sang Wai. Application for this year’s Eco Tour is now opened. Schools and organisations are welcome to join the Eco Tour. Visiting dates and timeslots are as follows: 5, 12, 19, 26 November 2018 (Monday); 7, 14, 21, 28 November 2018 (Wednesday); 4, 11, 18 December 2018 (Tuesday); 6, 13, 20 December 2018 (Thursday) (2:30pm – 4:30pm) Application deadline is 22 October 2018.
