The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a $11 million consultancy agreement on 14 June 2013 with Black
& Veatch Hong Kong Limited to undertake the investigation, design and construction supervision for the
phase 1 expansion of Sha Tau Kok Sewage Treatment Works.

The scope of the consultancy agreement comprises the review, site investigations, impact assessments, detailed
design, tendering, construction supervision and commissioning of the phase 1 expansion of Sha Tau Kok
Sewage Treatment Works.  The consultancy agreement is expected to take about 114 months to complete.
